SEE ALSO...

NALP2 Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NALP2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-NALP2 antibody (H-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NALP2, also known as PAN1 or PYPAF2, is a 1,062 amino acid protein that plays a critical role in regulating inflammatory responses by modulating nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-kB) pathway activity. NALP2 inhibits NFKBIA degradation, thereby suppressing TNF- and CD40-induced NF-kB1 activity at the IKK complex level. This regulatory function maintains cellular homeostasis and prevents excessive inflammation. NALP2 associates with PYCARD to activate caspase-1, leading to proinflammatory cytokine IL-1β secretion. As part of the inflammasome complex with PYCARD, CARD8, and caspase-1, NALP2 activates proinflammatory caspases, highlighting its importance in immune responses. NALP2 shows predominant expression in lung, placenta, and thymus tissues, with lower expression in ovary, intestine, and brain, suggesting diverse physiological roles. NALP2 contains one DAPIN domain, nine leucine-rich repeats, and one NACHT domain, with DAPIN being essential for NF-kB1 activation suppression and IL-1β secretion in collaboration with caspase-1.
