Datasheets
  • NACAD Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ NACAD antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 59-79 near the N-terminus of NACAD of human origin
  • recommended for detection of NACAD of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for NACAD Antibody (H-4) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with NACAD Antibody (H-4) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

    SEE ALSO...

NACAD Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects NACAD of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NACAD (H-4) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. NACAD, which consists of 1,562 amino acids, plays a crucial role in cellular function by preventing non-secretory polypeptides from misdirecting to the endoplasmic reticulum, thereby ensuring proper protein sorting and secretion. NACAD is localized in both the cytoplasm and nucleus, highlighting its importance in various cellular processes. As a member of the NAC-alpha family, NACAD contains one NAC-A/B (NAC-alpha/beta) domain, which is essential for its function. The gene encoding NACAD is located on human chromosome 7, a region that is significant not only for its large number of genes—over 1,000—but also for its association with various genetic disorders, including Osteogenesis imperfecta and Shwachman-Diamond syndrome. Notably, deletions in the q arm of chromosome 7 have been linked to Williams-Beuren syndrome, characterized by unique behavioral traits and physical features, as well as several myeloid disorders, including acute myelogenous leukemia. NACAD (H-4) antibody thus serves as a valuable tool for researchers studying the intricate roles of NACAD in health and disease.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515113 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
