    SEE ALSO...

NAB1 Antibody (A-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects NAB1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NAB1 (A-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NAB1 protein plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation, functioning as a corepressor that interacts with DNA-bound transcription factors like Egr1/NGFI-A. This interaction is vital for the precise control of gene expression, as NAB1 and its homolog NAB2 are essential for modulating the activity of Egr1, which is involved in critical cellular processes such as cell division, differentiation, and apoptosis. The structure of NAB1 includes an amino-terminal NAB-conserved domain 1 (NCB1) necessary for binding to NGFI-A and a carboxy-terminal NCD2 that mediates its repressor function. NAB1 is constitutively expressed and localized exclusively in the nucleus, underscoring its importance in regulating gene expression and maintaining cellular homeostasis.
