Na+/K+-ATPase α3 Antibody (XVIF9-G10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Na+/K+-ATPase α3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Na+/K+-ATPase α3 is a vital component of the sodium/potassium-ATPase complex, which maintains cellular homeostasis by regulating ion gradients across the plasma membrane. Na+/K+-ATPase α3 is primarily located in the plasma membrane of various cell types, where Na+/K+-ATPase α3 plays a significant role in controlling cellular volume and membrane potential. Proper functioning of Na+/K+-ATPase α3 is essential for numerous physiological processes, including muscle contraction, nerve impulse transmission, and nutrient absorption. Disruption of Na+/K+-ATPase α3 activity can lead to severe pathophysiological conditions, such as hypertension and heart failure. The Na+/K+-ATPase complex is composed of multiple isoforms of three subunits: α, β, and γ, with the α subunit being responsible for ATP binding and cation transport. The glycosylated β subunit is critical for the correct folding and membrane insertion of the α subunit, while the small γ subunit enhances the affinity of Na+/K+-ATPase for ATP in specific nephron segments. Anti-Na+/K+-ATPase α3 antibody (XVIF9-G10) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricate mechanisms of ion transport and its implications in health and disease.
