N-cadherin Antibody (13A9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects N-cadherin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-N-cadherin antibody (13A9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. N-cadherin plays a crucial role in cell adhesion, facilitating binding between cells essential for maintaining tissue integrity and promoting morphogenetic processes. N-cadherin is primarily located at the cell membrane, forming adherens junctions vital for structural stability of tissues. N-cadherin′s presence at these junctions is particularly important during embryonic development and neural tissue maintenance, helping regulate cell signaling pathways and influencing cellular behavior. N-cadherin′s interactions with cytoplasmic proteins, such as β-catenin, underscore its significance in cellular communication and regulation of cell proliferation and differentiation. N-cadherin mediates interactions making this protein a key player in various physiological and pathological processes, including cancer metastasis, where altered expression can lead to increased cell motility and invasion.
