MYT1 Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MYT1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MYT1 Antibody (B-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MYT1 protein, also known as myelin transcription factor 1, is a crucial nuclear protein consisting of 1,121 amino acids and is predominantly expressed in neural progenitors and oligodendrocyte lineage cells. MYT1′s structure features seven highly conserved zinc fingers of the C2HC class, organized into two distinct clusters that can independently bind to the same DNA sequence, highlighting MYT1′s role in gene regulation. This unique structural arrangement is essential for MYT1′s function in neuronal development and oligodendrocyte differentiation within the central nervous system. Additionally, MYT1 is implicated in the regulation of endocrine differentiation and may play a significant role in myelin repair processes, particularly in periventricular leukomalacia (PVL) regions of the developing brain, making MYT1 a vital target for research in neurodevelopmental disorders and myelin-related pathologies.
