MYPT3 Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MYPT3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MYPT3 (E-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MYPT3 protein, also known as PPP1R16A, plays a crucial role in regulating myosin phosphatase activity, which is essential for controlling muscle contraction and cellular motility. Specifically, MYPT3 acts as a myosin-binding subunit that inhibits protein phosphatase activity related to phosphorylase, myosin light chain, and myosin substrates, thereby influencing the phosphorylation state of these proteins. This regulation is vital for maintaining proper cellular functions, as MYPT3 ensures the correct interaction between actin and myosin, which is mediated by the guanosine triphosphatase Rho. Additionally, MYPT3 is primarily localized to the cell membrane, where MYPT3 serves as a lipid anchor, facilitating interaction with protein phosphatase 1 (PP1).
