    SEE ALSO...

Myozenin 1 Antibody (8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Myozenin 1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-Myozenin 1 antibody (8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose and horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Myozenin 1, also known as MYOZ1, Calsarcin-2, or FATZ, is a crucial intracellular binding protein that plays a significant role in linking Z-disk proteins to the sarcomere, which is essential for muscle function. This 299 amino acid nuclear protein is predominantly expressed in cardiac and skeletal muscle, with lower expression levels found in the prostate, pancreas, and heart. Myozenin 1 interacts with key Z-disk proteins such as α-actinin, Filamin 2, and PP2B (calcineurin), effectively forming a bridge between these proteins and muscle fibers. Such interaction is vital for coupling striated muscle activity to protein activation, contributing to Z-disk assembly and myofibrillogenesis. Myozenin 1 undergoes post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation, which can influence function and interactions, thereby impacting muscle development and repair processes. Given such integral role in muscle formation, mutations in the gene encoding Myozenin 1 have been linked to various muscular dystrophies and neuromuscular myopathies, highlighting importance in maintaining muscle integrity and function.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with Myozenin 1 (8): sc-136429?

    Asked by: jerojero
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
