SEE ALSO...

Myosin Va Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Myosin Va (MYO5A) of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Myosin Va antibody (G-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Myosin Va (G-4) monoclonal antibody recognizes a member of the unconventional myosin family that plays a crucial role in intracellular transport, particularly in moving organelles and vesicles along actin filaments. This transport maintains cellular function and organization by facilitating delivery of essential materials to specific locations within cells, influencing processes such as cell signaling, growth, and division. Myosin Va′s unique structure combines features of both nonmuscle myosin type I and type II, enabling effective interaction with actin filaments for motor activity. Phosphorylation of Myosin Va′s heavy chain in the carboxy-terminal tail domain regulates activity and protein interactions. Mutations in Myosin Va genes cause coat color dilution in mice, severe neurological defects shortly after birth, and Griscelli disease in humans - a rare disorder characterized by pigmentary dilution and immunodeficiency.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-365986 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
