    Myo-inositol oxygenase Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Myo-inositol oxygenase protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Myo-inositol oxygenase antibody (E-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Myo-inositol oxygenase (MIOX), also known as ALDRL6, is a renal-specific enzyme belonging to the Aldo-keto reductase family, playing a crucial role in the metabolism of Myo-inositol. MIOX catalyzes the oxidative cleavage of Myo-inositol and its epimer, D-chiro inositol, into D-glucuronate, marking the first committed step in the Myo-inositol metabolic pathway. This enzymatic activity is vital for maintaining cellular signaling and osmoregulation, particularly in renal tissues, where MIOX is predominantly expressed. MIOX function is particularly important in the context of diabetes, as alterations in Myo-inositol metabolism have been linked to diabetic nephropathy, highlighting MIOX potential as a therapeutic target. Myo-inositol oxygenase (E-11) monoclonal antibody is an essential tool for researchers investigating the role of MIOX in various physiological and pathological processes.
