MYH Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody specifically designed to detect the myosin heavy chain 3 (MYH3) protein, also known as embryonic myosin heavy chain, MHC-embryonic, or MYH embryonic, in mouse, rat, and human tissues. Raised against amino acids 1641-1940 of human MYH3, anti-MYH3 antibody (B-5) is validated for use in western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) applications. MYH3 is a critical component of the sarcomeric thick filaments in skeletal and cardiac muscle fibers, playing a key role in muscle contraction by interacting with actin filaments to generate force. MYH3 interacts with several essential proteins, including actin, myosin light chains, tropomyosin, and the troponin complex, forming a complex machinery that regulates muscle contraction and relaxation. These interactions are crucial for coordinating the sliding of filaments necessary for muscle movement, as well as for muscle development, adaptation, and repair.
