SEE ALSO...

MYH3 Antibody (F1.652) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to detect the myosin heavy chain encoded by the MYH3 gene, also known as muscle embryonic myosin heavy chain or MYHCE, in mouse, rat, human, and rabbit samples. Myosin heavy chain 3 (MYH3) is a crucial component of the thick filaments in myofibrils, playing a vital role in muscle contraction and the development of skeletal muscle during the embryonic stage. MYH3 is primarily expressed in embryonic skeletal muscle, where MYH3 facilitates the formation of functional muscle fibers. As muscle fibers mature postnatally, MYH3 expression is gradually replaced by other myosin isoforms, such as MYH2, in mature skeletal muscle. Anti-MYH3 antibody (F1.652) targets an epitope of embryonic skeletal muscle myosin heavy chain, ensuring robust and accurate detection across various applications, including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Understanding the function and regulation of MYH3 is essential for studying muscle development, congenital muscle disorders such as distal arthrogryposis type 2B (DA2B), and muscle regeneration processes. MYH3 monoclonal antibody (F1.652) enables researchers to effectively investigate the expression patterns, localization, and interactions of MYH3, providing valuable insights into muscle physiology and pathology. Anti-MYH3 antibody (F1.652) is an indispensable tool for advancing research in muscle biology, developmental biology, and related biomedical fields, enabling the exploration of critical mechanisms that govern muscle formation and function.

Is the antigen for this antibody for the entire 1940 AA sequence? I need to match the sequence used to equine sequence to see if I can use it. thank you,

Asked by: Kgardner
Thank you for your question. This mouse monoclonal antibody is not raised against an amino acid sequence, but rather is raised against a preparation of fetal skeletal muscle myosin of human origin. The exact epitope recognized by this monoclonal antibody has not been determined. Most product citations use this antibody in mouse and rat samples, and we are not aware of any product citations in equine samples at this time. Reactivity with equine would have to be determined experimentally.
