µ-crystallin Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects µ-crystallin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-µ-crystallin antibody (F-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. µ-crystallin (F-11) antibody targets a protein that plays a crucial role in binding NADPH and thyroid hormone, suggesting involvement in regulatory and developmental processes beyond structural functions in lens tissue. µ-crystallin (F-11) monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein encoded by a gene located on chromosome 16p13, expressed in neural tissue, muscle, and kidney, indicating diverse functional roles across different tissues. Unlike other crystallins primarily contributing to eye lens structural integrity, µ-crystallin′s unique binding properties position this protein as a key player in cellular signaling and metabolic regulation, making µ-crystallin an important target for research in developmental biology and disease mechanisms.

Hello, I would like to know the storage information about this product? Is it good to be aliquoted and stored at -20? Thank you

Asked by: Bianca
Thank you for your question. Due to the composition of the buffer this antibody is provided in it should never be frozen. If handled correctly and stored at +4 °C the antibody will retain its viability.

I used this Ab on skeletal muscle and brain by western blot. However, I obtained 2 bands pretty closed at 37KDa and just under, How can I know which one is CRYM?

Asked by: Baptiste
Thank you for your question. Due to various post-translational modifications you may see bands close together. It can also be caused by slight differences in gel percentages or running time of the gel.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376687 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
