    SEE ALSO...

MTUS1 Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MTUS1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MTUS1 (E-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MTUS1, also known as mitochondrial tumor suppressor 1 or ATIP (angiotensin-II type 2 receptor (AT2)-interacting protein), plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and tumor suppression. MTUS1 is predominantly located in the cytoplasm and nucleus, with specific isoforms exhibiting distinct localizations; for instance, ATIP1 is found in the cytosol while ATIP4 is localized to the plasma membrane. MTUS1′s subcellular distribution enables interactions with various signaling pathways, particularly with the C-terminal tail of the AT2 receptor, which is essential for mediating the inhibition of growth factor-induced ERK 2 activation and subsequent cell proliferation. Mutations in MTUS1 have been linked to hepatocellular carcinoma, underscoring MTUS1′s role as a tumor suppressor. Five transcript variants of MTUS1 arise from alternative splicing, highlighting the complexity and regulatory potential of MTUS1 in maintaining cellular homeostasis.
