MSE55 Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MSE55 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MSE55 (D-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MSE55, also known as Borg5 or binder of Rho GTPases 5, is a crucial Cdc42 effector protein that plays a significant role in cellular morphology by inducing long cellular extensions in fibroblasts. MSE55 is essential for actin cytoskeleton reorganization at the plasma membrane, which is vital for various cellular processes, including migration and adhesion. MSE55 contains a nonkinase CRIB (Cdc42/Rac interactive-binding) domain, and the integrity of this domain is necessary for the GTP-dependent binding of MSE55 to Cdc42, highlighting MSE55′s importance in Rho GTPase signaling pathways. MSE55 exhibits tissue-specific expression in endothelial and bone marrow stromal cells, suggesting a potential functional role in hematopoiesis and indicating MSE55′s possible involvement as a negative regulator of Rho GTPase signaling.
