    SEE ALSO...

MRRF Antibody (J-Q7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MRRF protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MRRF antibody (J-Q7) is available as the non-conjugated format. MRRF (mitochondrial ribosome recycling factor) is a crucial 262 amino acid protein that plays a significant role in the termination of protein synthesis within mitochondria. MRRF (J-Q7) antibody enables detection of a protein essential for releasing ribosomes from messenger RNA at the conclusion of protein biosynthesis, ensuring ribosome recycling for subsequent rounds of translation. This recycling process maintains translational efficiency, directly influencing protein synthesis rates critical for cellular function and energy production. MRRF exists in multiple isoforms due to alternative splicing, contributing to functional diversity and regulatory mechanisms within mitochondrial protein synthesis. Anti-MRRF antibody (J-Q7) enables researchers to gain valuable insights into mitochondrial function and protein synthesis processes in human cells.

Can sc-100969: MRRF (J-Q7) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-100969: MRRF (J-Q7) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
