SEE ALSO...

MRP4 Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MRP4 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MRP4 antibody (F-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MRP4, also known as ABCC4, plays a crucial role in transporting organic anions and drugs across cellular membranes, which is vital for drug disposition and resistance in cancer therapy. MRP4 is primarily located in the plasma membrane of various tissues, including kidney, liver, and brain, where MRP4 facilitates efflux of a wide range of substrates, including nucleotide analogs and certain chemotherapeutic agents. This transport function is particularly important in multidrug resistance, as MRP4 can contribute to reduced efficacy of anticancer drugs by expelling them from cells, thereby impacting treatment outcomes. Understanding MRP4 expression and function is essential for developing strategies to overcome drug resistance in cancer therapy, making anti-MRP4 antibody (F-6) a valuable tool for researchers studying these mechanisms.

Can antibody MRP4 (F-6) 376262 be diluted in TBS-T 0,05%?

Asked by: Simone
Thank you for your question. For applications that require blocking we recommend using UltraCruz® Blocking Reagent: sc-516214, milk TBS-T, or BSA in TBS-T as diluents. Otherwise, just TBS-T is suitable for diluting the antibody as well.

Can MRP4 (F-6): sc-376262 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, MRP4 (F-6): sc-376262 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
