    SEE ALSO...

MRP-S28 Antibody (F-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MRP-S28 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MRP-S28 Antibody (F-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MRP-S28, also known as mitochondrial 28S ribosomal protein S28 or S28mt, is a crucial component of the mitochondrial ribosome, specifically located in the 28S subunit, which plays a vital role in protein synthesis within mitochondria. The unique structure of MRP-S28, comprising 187 amino acids, is essential for proper assembly and function of the mitoribosome, as MRP-S28 contributes to the ribosomal architecture that facilitates translation of mitochondrial mRNA into proteins necessary for cellular respiration and energy production. Given that mitochondrial dysfunction is implicated in various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and metabolic syndromes, accurate detection and study of MRP-S28 is critical for understanding mitochondrial biology and potential therapeutic interventions.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398572 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
