MRP-L45 Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MRP-L45 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MRP-L45 (E-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MRP-L45, consisting of 306 amino acids, plays a crucial role in mitochondrial protein synthesis as a component of the 39S ribosomal subunit, which is essential for proper mitochondrial functioning. Mitochondria are often referred to as cellular powerhouses, and protein synthesis capability is vital for energy production and metabolic processes. MRP-L45 is encoded on human chromosome 17, a region significant for high gene density and association with key tumor suppressor genes such as p53 and BRCA1. These genes maintain cellular integrity and regulate cell cycle progression, where dysfunction can lead to various cancers. MRP-L45 (E-12) monoclonal antibody enables research into mitochondrial function and implications in health and disease, particularly in cancer biology and mitochondrial disorders.
