SEE ALSO...

MOV10 Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MOV10 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MOV10 antibody (B-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MOV10, also known as Moloney leukemia virus 10, putative helicase MOV-10, gb110, or fSAP113, is a 1,003 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in RNA metabolism and gene regulation. MOV10 is a novel telomerase-associated protein belonging to the DNA2/NAM7 helicase family and SDE3 subfamily, and MOV10 is primarily localized to mRNA-degrading cytoplasmic P bodies. This localization is significant as MOV10 functions as an RNA helicase essential for mediating microRNA-guided mRNA cleavage and facilitating RNA-mediated gene silencing through the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC). Highly expressed in the ovary and testis, MOV10 is also implicated in the transcription and replication of the hepatitis delta virus (HDV) and interacts with several key proteins, including eIF2C1, eIF2C2, eIF6, Dicer, and TRBP2. The MOV10 gene, located on human chromosome 1 and mouse chromosome 3, produces three alternatively spliced isoforms, and post-translational modifications such as phosphorylation may occur following DNA damage, mediated by ATM or ATR, further highlighting MOV10′s importance in cellular responses to stress.
