MOSPD3 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MOSPD3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MOSPD3 (C-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MOSPD3, also known as motile sperm domain-containing protein 3 or CDS3, is a 235 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein characterized by the presence of a major sperm protein (MSP) domain. This domain is crucial for sperm motility, featuring a unique seven-stranded beta sandwich structure and an immunoglobulin-like fold that allows for polymerization into helical, non-polar fragments. These fragments contribute to the formation of a cytoskeleton composed of intermeshed filaments, which are essential for the assembly of large macromolecular complexes that facilitate sperm movement. MOSPD3 plays a significant role in the development of the right ventricle, indicating that the MSP domain may also be involved in cardiac development and spermiogenesis. Three isoforms of MOSPD3 arise from alternative splicing events, further underscoring MOSPD3′s complexity and functional diversity.
