    SEE ALSO...

MoCo Sulfurase Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MoCo Sulfurase of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MoCo Sulfurase antibody (D-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MoCo Sulfurase plays a crucial role in the biosynthesis of molybdenum cofactor, a vital component that activates molybdenum, a transitional metal essential for the catalytic activity of certain enzymes, including xanthine dehydrogenase and aldehyde oxidase. This enzyme, consisting of 888 amino acids, is responsible for the sulfuration of molybdenum cofactor, which is necessary for the proper functioning of these enzymes. Deficiencies in MoCo Sulfurase can lead to type II xanthinuria, a metabolic disorder characterized by excessive excretion of xanthine in urine and the formation of xanthine stones, which can cause significant health issues. Furthermore, individuals with type II xanthinuria are unable to effectively metabolize allopurinol into oxypurinol, resulting in decreased uric acid production and impaired purine synthesis. MoCo Sulfurase (D-6) antibody provides researchers with a valuable tool for studying the implications of MoCo Sulfurase in metabolic pathways and related disorders.

What blocking solution should I use with MoCo Sulfurase (D-6): sc-398172 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
