SEE ALSO...

MLL2 Antibody (2E1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MLL2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MLL2 antibody (2E1) is available as a non-conjugated format. MLL2, also known as Lysine Methyltransferase 2D, plays a crucial role in gene expression regulation through function as a histone methyltransferase, specifically targeting histone H3 at lysine 4 (H3K4). This post-translational modification is vital for transcription activation and is implicated in various cellular processes, including development and differentiation. MLL2 is particularly important in mouse embryonic development, influencing adhesion-related cytoskeletal events that affect cell growth and survival. MLL2 gene is located at human locus 12q13.12, a region frequently associated with rearrangements or amplifications in solid tumors, highlighting significance in cancer biology. Additionally, MLL2 interacts with other members of mixed lineage leukemia gene family, such as MLL3 and MLL4, which associate with activating signal cointegrator-2 (ASC-2) to regulate H3K4 trimethylation and target gene expression. MLL2 and its interactions study is essential for understanding molecular mechanisms underlying various diseases, including leukemia and other malignancies.
