MKP-3 Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects MKP-3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MKP-3, a member of the dual specificity phosphatase family, plays a crucial role in regulating mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase signaling pathways by specifically dephosphorylating critical phosphothreonine and phosphotyrosine residues within ERK family members. This regulation is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to various stimuli, as dysregulation of MAP kinases can lead to pathological conditions such as cancer and inflammatory diseases. MKP-3 is encoded by a gene located on chromosome 12q22-q23 and produces a 381 amino acid protein that is predominantly expressed in the heart and pancreas, highlighting its importance in tissue-specific signaling and function. Anti-MKP-3 antibody (G-12) serves as an essential tool for researchers investigating MAP kinase-related pathways and their implications in health and disease.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with MKP-3 (G-12): sc-166041?

Asked by: Germaine
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
