    SEE ALSO...

MIPP Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MIPP protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MIPP (A-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MIPP protein, or multiple inositol polyphosphate phosphatase, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by hydrolyzing inositol polyphosphates, which are important second messengers in various biological processes. MIPP′s enzymatic activity is vital for regulating cellular functions such as cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. MIPP′s unique ability to hydrolyze inositol pentakisphosphate and inositol hexakisphosphate highlights MIPP′s significance in the inositol phosphate signaling pathway, which is implicated in numerous physiological and pathological conditions, including cancer. Evolutionary conservation of MIPP across species, including mouse (MMU)Minpp1, human (HSA)MINPP1, chick, plant, and fruit fly, underscores MIPP′s essential role in higher eukaryotes. MIPP is located on chromosome 10, a region frequently associated with mutations in human cancers, and MIPP′s C-terminal domain contains a signal that retains soluble proteins within the endoplasmic reticulum, further emphasizing MIPP′s importance in cellular homeostasis. Originally isolated from rat liver, MIPP is also highly expressed in rat kidney, indicating MIPP′s diverse functional roles in different tissues.
