SEE ALSO...

MIP-1β Antibody (3H3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MIP-1β of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MIP-1β (3H3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MIP-1β, a member of the C-C chemokine subfamily, plays a crucial role in the immune response by acting as a chemoattractant for monocytes and T cells, particularly CD4+ T lymphocytes, which are essential for orchestrating adaptive immunity. The selective attraction of naive CD4+ T cells by MIP-1β is significant, as MIP-1β helps to regulate the immune response during infections, including HIV. Research indicates that MIP-1β, along with MIP-1α and RANTES, is produced by CD8+ T cells and contributes to the control of HIV infection by releasing HIV-suppressive factors. The ability of MIP-1β to selectively recruit specific T cell populations underscores MIP-1β′s importance in both normal immune function and in the context of viral infections, making MIP-1β a valuable target for therapeutic interventions and research applications.
