Datasheets
  • MFF Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ MFF antibody, cited in 16 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 91-117 within a cytoplasmic domain of MFF of human origin
  • recommended for detection of MFF of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgG3 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for MFF Antibody (B-2) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with MFF Antibody (B-2) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

MFF Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects MFF of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MFF antibody (B-2) is available as the non-conjugated form. MFF, or mitochondrial fission factor, plays a crucial role in regulating mitochondrial and peroxisomal fission, processes essential for maintaining cellular energy homeostasis and overall cellular health. MFF is predominantly located in the outer membrane of mitochondria, where MFF facilitates the recruitment of dynamin-related protein 1 (Drp1), a key player in mitochondrial division. This interaction is vital for proper distribution of mitochondria during cell division and for response to cellular stress, highlighting MFF′s importance in both normal cellular function and in the pathogenesis of various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders. MFF exists as five alternatively spliced isoforms, which adds complexity to functional roles and regulatory mechanisms. The gene encoding MFF is located on human chromosome 2q36.3, a region associated with several genetic diseases, underscoring MFF′s potential implications in health and disease.
