Metaxin 2 Antibody (H-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Metaxin 2 (MTX2) of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MTX2 antibody (H-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MTX2, also known as mitochondrial outer membrane import complex protein 2, is a crucial 263 amino acid protein that plays a significant role in the transport of proteins into mitochondria, localizing specifically to the outer membrane. MTX2 (H-2) monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein essential for mitochondrial function, as MTX2 interacts with Metaxin 1 to facilitate the import of precursor proteins, which is vital for maintaining mitochondrial integrity and energy production.
