SEE ALSO...

MESP1 Antibody (JH.12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MESP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-MESP1 antibody (JH.12) is available as a non-conjugated format. MESP1, or mesoderm posterior 1 homolog, is a 268 amino acid protein characterized by a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain, which is crucial for protein dimerization and binding to E-box sequences in DNA. MESP1 is primarily localized in the nucleus, where MESP1 functions as a transcription factor, playing a vital role in the epithelialization and development of cardiac and somitic mesoderm. MESP1 expression peaks during gastrulation and somitogenesis, which are critical stages in embryonic development. MESP1 is essential for the formation of single heart tubes during cardiac maturation, and early detection can serve as an indicator of cardiac precursor cell formation in developing embryos. Additionally, MESP1 is involved in the rostrocaudal patterning of somites, influencing specific Notch signaling pathways that are crucial for proper embryonic development.

I am using MESP1 (JH.12): sc-130461 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration.
