SEE ALSO...

Melan-A Antibody (M2-9E3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects Melan-A in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Melan-A, also known as MART-1, is a crucial melanocyte differentiation antigen predominantly expressed in melanomas, melanocyte cell lines, and retinal tissues. Anti-Melan-A antibody (M2-9E3) recognizes peptides presented on the surface of tumor cells, which are targeted by HLA-A2-restricted cytotoxic T lymphocytes. This interaction is vital for developing effective cancer immunotherapies, as Melan-A has been shown to elicit strong immune responses in melanoma patients. The ability to generate antimelanoma cytotoxic T lymphocytes using Melan-A peptides underscores Melan-A′s potential as a candidate for antigen-specific immunotherapy, making Melan-A monoclonal antibody (M2-9E3) an essential tool for researchers investigating melanoma and developing targeted treatments.

Are there any issues with using sc-53537: Melan-A (M2-9E3) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-53537 conjugates.
