Med30 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Med30 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Med30 (C-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Med30 is a crucial subunit of the RNA polymerase II (Pol II) transcriptional mediator complex, which plays a vital role in the regulation of gene expression. This complex acts as a bridge, facilitating communication between gene-specific regulatory proteins and the basal Pol II transcription machinery, thereby ensuring precise transcriptional control of Pol II-dependent genes. The mediator complex is essential for the assembly of a functional pre-initiation complex, which includes Pol II and other general transcription factors, ultimately influencing the transcriptional output of various genes. Med30 is predominantly located in the nucleus and is expressed in several tissues, including the brain, heart, kidney, liver, lung, pancreas, placenta, and skeletal muscle, highlighting its importance in diverse biological processes and cellular functions.
