MD-2 Antibody (J-12B) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MD-2 of human origin by western blotting (WB) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MD-2 antibody (J-12B) is available as a non-conjugated format, making MD-2 (J-12B) antibody a versatile tool for researchers studying immune responses. MD-2 plays a crucial role in the immune system as a co-receptor for the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) receptor complex, which is essential for recognizing Gram-negative bacteria. MD-2 is vital for TLR4-dependent LPS responses, as cells expressing both TLR4 and MD-2 can respond to LPS, while those expressing TLR4 alone cannot.
