Datasheets
  • MCPIP Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ MCPIP antibody, cited in 8 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 508-523 near the C-terminus of MCPIP of human origin
  • recommended for detection of MCPIP of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for MCPIP Antibody (H-6) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with MCPIP Antibody (H-6) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

MCPIP Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects MCPIP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MCPIP antibody (H-6) is available as a non-conjugated format. MCPIP protein, also known as ZC3H12A, is a 599 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression and cellular responses to stress. MCPIP protein is primarily located in the nucleus, where MCPIP functions as a transcriptional activator, influencing various cellular processes such as apoptosis and angiogenesis. Nuclear localization of MCPIP enables direct interaction with DNA and other nuclear proteins, thereby modulating expression of genes involved in inflammatory responses and cell survival. MCPIP protein is implicated in development of acute monocytic leukemia and is associated with ischemic heart disease, conditions that highlight MCPIP′s significance in both cancer biology and cardiovascular health. MCPIP gene is located on human chromosome 1, which is a large chromosome containing over 3,000 genes and playing a vital role in human genetics.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515275 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
