SEE ALSO...

MCP-4 Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MCP-4 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MCP-4 (D-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MCP-4, also known as CCL13, is a member of the C-C chemokine subfamily, which is characterized by a unique arrangement of conserved cysteine residues. MCP-4 plays a crucial role in the immune response by acting as a potent chemoattractant for monocytes, eosinophils, and basophils, particularly during allergic and non-allergic inflammatory processes. MCP-4 signals through CCR-2 and CCR-3 receptors, facilitating immune cell recruitment to sites of inflammation. MCP-4′s selective attraction of different lymphocyte subpopulations highlights its importance in modulating immune responses and potential implications in various inflammatory diseases. Production of MCP-4 is induced in T lymphocytes following activation by cytokines such as interleukin-1, tumor necrosis factor-alpha, and interferon-gamma, underscoring MCP-4′s role in the dynamic interplay between immune cells and inflammatory mediators.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-271124 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
