MCP-1-4/eotaxin Antibody (B-2) is a high quality monoclonal MCP-1-4/eotaxin antibody (also designated CCL2 (MCP-1) antibody, CCL8 (MCP-2) antibody, CCL7 (MCP-3) antibody, CCL13 (MCP-4) antibody, CCL11 (eotaxin) antibody, or C-C motif chemokine ligand antibody) suitable for the detection of the MCP-1-4/eotaxin protein of human origin. MCP-1-4/eotaxin Antibody (B-2) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-MCP-1-4/eotaxin antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-MCP-1-4/eotaxin antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Eotaxin and the monocyte chemotactic proteins, MCP-1–5, form a subfamily of the C-C (or β) chemokines, which are characterized by a set of conserved adjacent cysteines. MCPs are produced by a variety of cells, including T lymphocytes, subsequent to their activation with cytokines such as IL-1, TNFα and IFN-γ. In vitro studies have shown that the MCP isoforms exhibit their chemotactic effects on different subpopulations of lymphocytes. MCP-1 is a potent basophil activator but does not affect eosinophils. MCP-1 levels are increased during infection and inflammation, which are both characterized by leukocyte infiltration. Two MCP-1 receptors, which differ in their carboxy-termini, have been identified. MCP-2 stimulates both eosinophils and basophils, while eotaxin serves as a potent chemo-attractant for eosinophils. MCP-3 has been shown to have the broadest range of influence, activating monocytes, dendritic cells, lymphocytes, NK cells, eosinophils, basophils and neutrophils. MCP-4 signals through CCR-2 and -3 and is a potent chemoattractant for monocytes, eosinophils and basophils induced in allergic and nonallergic inflammation.

Can MCP-1-4/eotaxin (B-2): sc-377082 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, MCP-1-4/eotaxin (B-2): sc-377082 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.

okay antibodyI tried this antibody in the ratio 1:1000 to detect CCL2 in NHBE whole cell lysate and luckily we got a band around 12kDa for the first time. But after that we tried in Beas2b cell lysate and again in NHBE lysate too but we couldn't see the band. Maybe it will work only in freshly prepared antibody so its not a user-friendly.

only for WBwe do human samples stimulated by IL1B, and we see spicific band at 11kD, and also there is a none spicific band at 40kD. But we do not consider it could do IHC-P.
