SEE ALSO...

MBD2/3 Antibody (B-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects MBD2/3 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MBD2/3 plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression by binding to methylated DNA, particularly at methyl-CpG sites, which are often associated with transcriptional repression. This interaction is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating developmental processes, as aberrations in DNA methylation can lead to various diseases, including cancer. MBD2 forms complexes with histone deacetylases, which further contribute to the repression of transcription in methylated genes. MBD2/3′s ability to modulate gene expression highlights its importance in epigenetic regulation and underscores anti-MBD2/3 antibody (B-12)′s relevance in research focused on understanding gene regulation mechanisms and their implications in health and disease.
