Mast Cell Tryptase Antibody (H-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects mast cell tryptase (MCT) in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MCT antibody (H-9) specifically targets mast cell tryptase, a crucial serine protease that plays a significant role in inflammatory response and tissue remodeling. MCT monoclonal antibody (H-9) recognizes a protein primarily located in mast cells, which are essential components of the immune system, as they release mediators that influence vascular permeability and recruit other immune cells to sites of injury or infection. The presence of mast cell tryptase in tissues can indicate mast cell activation and is often associated with allergic reactions and asthma, making MCT (H-9) antibody a valuable tool for studying various inflammatory conditions. Additionally, mast cell tryptase exists as a tetrameric enzyme, which is stabilized by heparin, enhancing its enzymatic activity and allowing it to effectively participate in the degradation of extracellular matrix components. Understanding the localization and function of mast cell tryptase is vital for elucidating its role in both normal physiology and pathological conditions, thereby providing insights into potential therapeutic targets for allergic and inflammatory diseases.
