    SEE ALSO...

MAP-6D1 Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MAP-6D1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MAP-6D1 (F-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MAP-6D1 protein, also known as MAP6 domain-containing protein 1 or STOP-like protein 21, is a 199 amino acid neuronal protein that plays a crucial role in stabilizing microtubules and is primarily located within the Golgi apparatus membrane. This localization facilitates MAP-6D1 interaction with calmodulin, a calcium-binding messenger protein essential for various cellular processes, including mitosis regulation. MAP-6D1 interaction with calmodulin is enhanced by palmitoylation of cysteine residues near the N-terminus, which increases MAP-6D1 hydrophobicity and promotes association with cellular membranes. This post-translational modification is vital for MAP-6D1 subcellular trafficking, allowing effective modulation of protein-protein interactions and contribution to microtubule stabilization, thereby playing a key role in maintaining cellular structure and function.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515352 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
