SEE ALSO...

MAP-2 Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MAP-2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MAP-2 (A-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MAP-2 protein plays a crucial role in stabilizing microtubules, which are essential components of the cytoskeleton, providing structural support and facilitating intracellular transport. Located primarily in neuronal cell bodies and dendrites, MAP-2 is vital for maintaining neuronal architecture integrity and regulating microtubule dynamics. MAP-2′s ability to bind tubulin and promote microtubule assembly is particularly important for neuronal development and function, helping ensure proper cell shape and signaling pathways. Additionally, MAP-2 undergoes various post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation, which can influence binding affinity and functional interactions with other proteins, thereby affecting microtubule stability and dynamics. anti-MAP-2 antibody (A-4)′s versatility in multiple applications makes MAP-2 (A-4) monoclonal antibody an invaluable tool for researchers studying cytoskeletal dynamics and neuronal function in various biological contexts.
