MAP-1B Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects MAP-1B protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MAP-1B (H-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MAP-1B protein plays a crucial role in stabilizing and assembling microtubules, which are essential components of the cytoskeleton that provide structural support and shape to cells. Through interactions with tubulin, MAP-1B enhances microtubule stability and influences their spatial organization within cells, which is vital for processes such as intracellular transport, cell division, and maintaining cell morphology. MAP-1B′s regulation of microtubule dynamics is closely linked to phosphorylation status, which can modulate activity and interactions with other proteins. Understanding MAP-1B function is important for elucidating its role in various cellular processes and implications in diseases associated with cytoskeletal dysfunction.
