Manic Fringe Antibody (2B11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Manic Fringe protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Manic Fringe antibody (2B11) is available as a non-conjugated format. Manic Fringe (2B11) antibody recognizes a protein that plays a crucial role in regulating the Notch signaling pathway, which is essential for various developmental processes, including cell differentiation and boundary formation during embryogenesis. Manic Fringe belongs to the mammalian fringe family, which includes Radical and Lunatic Fringe, all evolutionarily related to the Drosophila fringe protein. Unique expression patterns of these fringe proteins in different tissues highlight their specific functions; while Radical Fringe is vital for limb bud development, Lunatic Fringe is necessary for proper somite segmentation and is believed to be influenced by the molecular clock. Manic Fringe has been implicated in tumorigenesis, as studies have shown tumor formation in mouse NIH/3T3 cells when introduced into severe combined immunodeficient mice. These findings underscore Manic Fringe′s importance in normal development and cancer biology, making Manic Fringe (2B11) monoclonal antibody a valuable research tool for studying these critical processes.
