MALT1 Antibody (clone 50) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects MALT1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MALT1, or mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma translocation gene 1, plays a crucial role in the regulation of immune responses and is particularly significant in the context of B cell lymphomas, where MALT1 is often implicated in the pathogenesis of extranodal low-grade B cell lymphomas. MALT1 is located in the cytoplasm and interacts with several key signaling molecules, including Bcl10, which is essential for the oligomerization and activation of MALT1′s caspase-like domain. This interaction is vital for the activation of the NFκB signaling pathway, which promotes cell survival and proliferation, thereby contributing to the development of MALT lymphomas. The MALT1-API2 fusion protein, resulting from a common chromosomal translocation, further enhances this signaling cascade, leading to increased apoptosis inhibition and tumorigenesis. MALT1 mRNA expression is observed in pre-B cells, mature B cells, and plasma cells, highlighting MALT1′s importance in normal immune function and potential as a therapeutic target in lymphoid malignancies.
