Datasheets
  • MAGP-1 Antibody (E-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 32-61 near the N-terminus of MAGP-1 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of MAGP-1 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including and equine and porcine
  • m-IgG2b BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for MAGP-1 Antibody (E-3) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with MAGP-1 Antibody (E-3) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

MAGP-1 Antibody (E-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects MAGP-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MAGP-1, or microfibril-associated glycoprotein 1, plays a crucial role in the formation and stabilization of elastic fibers, which are essential for the resilience and elasticity of various connective tissues. MAGP-1 is primarily located in the extracellular matrix, where MAGP-1 interacts with other key components such as fibrillin and elastin, forming a complex that is vital for maintaining the structural integrity of tissues. The proper assembly of these elastic fibers is critical for normal vascular development and function, as evidenced by studies showing that both underexpression and overexpression of the Zebrafish homolog of MAGP-1 significantly impact vascular morphology. Anti-MAGP-1 antibody (E-3) enables researchers to gain insights into the dynamics of elastic fiber formation and its implications in various physiological and pathological conditions, making MAGP-1 (E-3) antibody an invaluable tool for studies related to connective tissue disorders and vascular health.
