SEE ALSO...

MAGI-3 Antibody (46) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MAGI-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. MAGI-3 (46) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose and horseradish peroxidase (HRP). MAGI-3, a member of the membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family, plays a crucial role in assembling multiprotein complexes at the membrane-cytoskeletal interface, which is essential for maintaining cellular architecture and signaling pathways. Structurally, MAGI-3 features five PDZ domains and a guanylate kinase domain, which facilitate interactions with other proteins, including tumor suppressor PTEN. This interaction helps regulate cellular signaling pathways that control cell growth and survival, making MAGI-3 significant in various physiological processes and potential disease mechanisms. MAGI-3′s ability to scaffold proteins at the plasma membrane underscores its importance in cellular organization and function, providing insights into its role in health and disease.

I am using MAGI-3 (46): sc-136471 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Trav11
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
