SEE ALSO...

MAGE-A1 Antibody (MA454) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MAGE-A1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MAGE-A1 antibody (MA454) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The melanoma-associated antigen (MAGE) family is crucial in cancer immunotherapy, as these antigens are recognized by cytotoxic T lymphocytes and are predominantly expressed in tumors, making MAGE proteins potential targets for therapeutic intervention. MAGE-A1 is known for its role in tumor rejection, showing expression in various tumor types while remaining largely absent in normal tissues, except for testis and placenta. This selective expression pattern makes MAGE-A1 valuable for distinguishing tumor cells from normal cells, offering unique opportunities for targeted cancer therapies. While extensive research exists on MAGE genes in tumors, MAGE-A1′s precise function in normal cells remains unclear, suggesting a need for further investigation into biological roles and cancer treatment applications.
