SEE ALSO...

MAGE-A Antibody (6C1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MAGE-A protein in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MAGE-A antibody (6C1) comes in non-conjugated form and various conjugates, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® options. The melanoma-associated antigen (MAGE) family plays a vital role in cancer immunotherapy due to unique expression patterns; these antigens appear primarily in tumors and are recognized by cytotoxic T lymphocytes, making them promising therapeutic targets. MAGE-A proteins concentrate in tumor cell nuclei, suggesting involvement in gene expression regulation and cell cycle progression, which may influence tumor growth and survival. MAGE genes show restricted expression, appearing mainly in tumors except for normal testis and placenta tissue, highlighting their value as cancer biomarkers. Nuclear localization and function of MAGE-A proteins offer valuable insights for developing targeted cancer therapies.

weather can  this antibody (sc-20034) be used to FACS monkey cells? what's the target peptide of this antibody?

Asked by: scllcs
Thank you for your inquiry. sc-20034 is recommended for detection of MAGE-A1, MAGE-A2, MAGE-A3, MAGE-A4, MAGE-A6, MAGE-A10 and MAGE-A12 of mouse, rat and human origin, so you need to perform sequence analysis or requst the free sample of sc-20034 to do a test. In addition, sc-20034 is raised against a prokaryotic recombinant fusion protein corresponding to the full length MAGE-A11. Can I use this mouse monoclonal antibody for immunohistochemical staining of mouse tissue? Or even double or triple staining on the same samples?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. Yes. We recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is currently available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-20034 PE), fluorescein (sc-20034 FITC), Alexa Fluor® 488 (sc-20034 AF488) or Alexa Fluor® 647 (sc-20034 AF647). Please contact Technical Service if you have further questions concerning this product.
