SEE ALSO...

LSDP5 Antibody (E-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects LSDP5 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-LSDP5 antibody (E-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LSDP5, also known as lipid storage droplet protein 5, is a 463 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism by localizing to the surface of lipid droplets, where LSDP5 protects them from lipolytic degradation. This protective function is vital for maintaining lipid homeostasis within cells, particularly in tissues such as the heart, skeletal muscle, liver, and kidney, where lipid storage and mobilization are essential for energy balance and metabolic health. The gene encoding LSDP5 is located on human chromosome 19, a region known for its high gene density and housing numerous immunoglobulin superfamily members, which underscores LSDP5′s importance in both lipid metabolism and broader cellular functions.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514296 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
