SEE ALSO...

LSD1 Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LSD1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LSD1 Antibody (B-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LSD1, also known as lysine-specific histone demethylase 1, plays a crucial role in regulating histone methylation, which maintains chromatin structure and transcriptional activity, influencing cellular epigenetic states. LSD1 functions as a flavin-dependent amine oxidase that specifically removes one or two methyl groups from methyl-lysine-4 side chain of histone H3, a process vital for gene expression regulation. LSD1′s structure includes a SWIRM domain, a FAD-binding motif, and an amine oxidase domain, critical for enzymatic function and protein interactions. LSD1 associates with CoREST, a corepressor enhancing demethylation activity and protecting against proteasomal degradation, while PHF21A can inhibit LSD1′s activity. LSD1 co-localizes with androgen receptor in prostate cells, highlighting a role in androgen-receptor-dependent transcription, particularly significant in prostate cancer research.

Is LSD1 (B-9) sc-271720 X different from LSD1 (B-9) sc-271720 without the X??

Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-271720 X is what we call a TransCruz reagent, or X-form, and it provided as 200µg in 0.1ml for use in applications such as ChIP. The standard antibody, sc-271720, is provided as 200µg in 1ml.

What is the recommended secondary reagent to use with this mouse monoclonal primary?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. While most anti-mouse IgG secondary antibodies are appropriate for use with our LSD1 (B-9): sc-271720 monoclonal antibody, we recommend using one our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins as a secondary detection reagent. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
