LRRFIP1′s N-terminus exhibits high homology to the coiled-coil domain of FLAP, a protein that interacts with the leucine-rich repeat (LRR) of Flightless I, suggesting a functional link between LRRFIP1 and the actin cytoskeleton through association with Flightless I.
