    SEE ALSO...

LRRFIP1 Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects LRRFIP1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LRRFIP1, also known as GCF2, is a 738 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role as a transcriptional repressor, preferentially binding to the GC-rich consensus sequence (5′-AGCCCCCGGCG-3′) and regulating the expression of important growth factors such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF), epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), and platelet-derived growth factor A (PDGF-A). This regulation is particularly significant in smooth muscle cell proliferation following arterial injury, where LRRFIP1′s repression of PDGF-A is believed to be a key mechanism. LRRFIP1′s N-terminus exhibits high homology to the coiled-coil domain of FLAP, a protein that interacts with the leucine-rich repeat (LRR) of Flightless I, suggesting a functional link between LRRFIP1 and the actin cytoskeleton through association with Flightless I. LRRFIP1 demonstrates a high affinity for double-stranded RNA, binding with greater strength than double-stranded DNA, which is essential for RNA metabolism and cellular signaling. LRRFIP1′s RNA binding domain contains a lysine-rich motif, further emphasizing importance in cellular processes. anti-LRRFIP1 antibody (C-3) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying gene regulation and cellular dynamics in various species.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398240 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
