SEE ALSO...

LRP130 Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LRP130 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LRP130 (F-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The leucine-rich repeat (LRR) motif, which is a key structural feature of LRP130, consists of 20-30 amino acids that form a hydrophobic α/β horseshoe fold, allowing LRP130 to effectively accommodate several leucine residues within a tightly packed core. This unique structure is crucial for LRP130′s function as a cytoplasmic mRNA-binding protein, which plays a significant role in the processing of mitochondrial DNA transcripts. Defects in the LRPPRC gene that encodes LRP130 are linked to the French-Canadian type of Leigh syndrome, a severe neurological disorder characterized by lesions in the subcortical region of the brain, highlighting LRP130′s critical role in cellular health and function. LRP130 interacts with the low-affinity receptor for leukemia inhibitory factor, initiating an intracellular signaling cascade that further underscores LRP130′s importance in cellular communication and response mechanisms.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-166178 X be used instead of the standard form sc-166178?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
